When needed, you can play/practice in complete privacy using the built-in digital piano tone module.  When you activate the SILENT Piano feature, the hammers are prevented from hitting the strings and optical sensors take over, sending your key movements to the digital piano which you can hear through headphones.  When playing silently, you still have the benefit and pleasure of playing the real mechanical acoustic action — not a digital facsimile.

This piano is in excellent condition, only a year or so old.  It’s a good choice for a dedicated player from beginner to advanced intermediate, for a composer using MIDI, and anyone that desires playing silently from time to time.
