Classic Pianos is a fourth-generation family piano company owned by industry leader, Maurice Unis and his three sons. Steeped in pianos, the history of Classic Pianos stretches far back, past its initial founding, to when the company’s owner, Maurice, was a child. While growing up around pianos, Maurice was trained in piano restoration by his grandfather, Maurice T. Schuster, helped honed his skills in restoring older pianos. After 40 years in the retail piano business, Maurice has become one of the most sought after piano and business experts in North America
Today, the Unis family, along with their team of piano professionals, has become the most awarded piano dealer in North America, having won every Top Dealer and Outstanding Customer service award from every manufacturer they represent. These awards are presented at the annual National Association of Music Merchant convention in Anaheim, California.
“We owe our success to a simple family recipe by giving every customer the “white glove treatment,” by offering them the best value, price, and service; and by making friends for life by providing a Lifetime Trade-up policy”
— Maurice Unis
The Family Tradition Continues
From childhood, Maurice’s sons watched Maurice disassemble, clean, repair, and refinish pianos — in the shop, the family garage, and even in the living room. Today, Maurice and his three sons live and breathe pianos at Classic Pianos. Brian serves as head of operations. Aaron manages the accounting department, and Taylor leads the sales and customer service team, each of them embracing the same passion for hard work, fair dealing, and extraordinary customer service.
