Founded in 1851, the Feurich piano company emerged in Leipzig, Germany during a time of lofty European musical culture and incredible technical innovation in piano manufacturing. For nearly a century it was considered one of the best German piano companies.
During World War II, Leipzig was heavily bombed, and the factory was destroyed. The ensuing Cold War left Leipzig behind the Iron Curtain; the company floundered, isolated from the western markets.
This 6’ 2” grand is from that golden era of European and American piano building. It was made at the end of the Belle Epoque period, with the best materials available, by highly skilled craftsmen who knew the art of cabinetry and instrument building.
It’s worth noting that this piano has had some reconditioning work done. Please contact the store for more information.
