Introducing The C-169 Black Pearl Art Collection Model
One of Schimmel’s strengths is their outstanding design of grand and upright pianos. Since its founding, the company has always tried new things. Unusual designs, such as the legendary glass grand piano have become iconic. But even the less extravagant models receive special attention, not only for their musical qualities, but also when it comes to their appearance.
Schimmel’s latest innovation is a matte surface design with an innovative piano lacquer, which not only gives this instrument a velvety soft appearance, but also has practical advantages over conventional matte lacquers.
While conventional matte lacquers get slightly shiny spots in daily use or get small scratches very easily over time, Schimmel’s new piano lacquer “black super matte” is extremely robust and durable. In contrast, it looks soft and velvety and is also very pleasant to the touch. This turns the instrument into an all-round sensory experience. Shiny chrome fittings round off the appearance — a traditional piano interpreted in a contemporary way.
