Classic Concerts Presents: Melodies of the Moments

As part of the Classic Concert Series hosted by Classic Pianos Denver, we invite you to join us in the Maurice Unis Concert Hall for Melodies of the Moments, a performance by Duo Classica, featuring pianist Olga Dashevskaya and violinist Lydia Sviatlovskaya. Doors open at 4:30pm, and the concert begins at 5:00pm.
An evening of violin and piano
Duo Classica brings violin and piano together in a program filled with passion, precision, and musical contrast. From Vitali’s dramatic Chaconne to selections from Prokofiev’s Cinderella, the concert will move between lyrical, expressive moments and dazzling, virtuosic passages.
Olga Dashevskaya and Lydia Sviatlovskaya bring years of collaboration to the stage in a program that highlights the interplay between violin and piano.

About the Performers
Olga Dashevskaya began studying piano at age five at the Kharkov Special Music School for gifted children in her native Ukraine and gave her first recital at age eight. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in piano performance and music history from the Kharkov State Conservatory.
Since immigrating to the United States in 1990, Dashevskaya has performed extensively as a soloist, orchestral pianist, chamber musician, and lecturer in the U.S. and abroad. Her passion for chamber music led her to form Duo Classica with violinist Lydia Sviatlovskaya in 2008.
Lydia Sviatlovskaya studied at the Special Music School for Gifted Children in Leningrad. She later earned a master’s degree in violin performance and education from the Moscow Conservatory, where her teachers included renowned violinist Leonid Kogan.
Her career has included orchestral and solo appearances in Russia, Europe, Canada, and the United States. She has held leading orchestral positions including Concertmaster of the Colorado Ballet Orchestra and Central City Opera Festival Orchestra, as well as Associate Concertmaster of the Colorado Springs Philharmonic.
