The AvantGrand series of hybrid pianos have no strings.  They incorporate the full action of an acoustic piano – keys, hammers, wippens, flanges, etc., with a selection of carefully sampled concert grands from Yamaha and Bosendorfer.

The N1X has the tactile touch of a Yamaha acoustic grand piano. But unlike its acoustic sibling, the AvantGrand never needs tuning.  It can be played silently with headphones, interface with computers, and record performances internally.
