Classic Concerts Presents Thunder and Rain

As part of the Classic Concert Series hosted by Classic Pianos Denver, we invite you to join us in the Maurice Unis Concert Hall for an evening with Nashville-based newgrass band, Thunder and Rain, on Sunday, July 12. Doors open at 4:30pm, and the concert begins at 5:00pm.

High-energy bluegrass with a modern twist
Thunder and Rain weaves together bluegrass instrumentation with award-winning songwriting inspired by pop, country, and classic rock. The four-piece band combines guitar, fiddle, banjo, bass, and rich harmonized vocals to deliver energetic shows that captivate audiences.
Their balance of traditional bluegrass and modern songwriting creates a sound that feels both familiar and fresh. Over their decade-long career, they have shared the stage with artists including Billy Strings, The Kruger Brothers, and Peter Rowan.
About the performers



Thunder and Rain is a four-piece newgrass band from Nashville, Tennessee. Touring and recording since 2014, the band delivers high-energy performances full of melodic hooks and grassy drive.
Founding member Erinn Peet-Lukes (guitar, vocals) is joined by Amelia Ransom (fiddle) and Laura Ray (banjo), with rotating guest bassists. Their sound combines bluegrass instrumentation with pop and rock song structures, rich three-part harmony, and skillful picking.
Peet-Lukes has earned national recognition for her songwriting at Kerrville Folk Fest, Merlefest, and the IBMA Songwriter Showcase.
