There is a fondness for the Steinway pianos produced in the first two-thirds of the 20^th century, before the company was purchased by CBS in 1972.  Some believe these pianos were superior to what came from the factory for a decade or so.

This 1956 “M” is from that era when the Steinway family still controlled all aspects of manufacturing.  It is in good, mostly original condition and will serve a serious pianist at any level for many years.
