Sojin DG2 Conservatory Grand

Sojin Piano Co., a division of Daewoo International was a S. Korean builder that began producing pianos in the early 1980s.  In addition to their own brand, they partnered with other companies to make “stencil” models under different names and distribution regions.  Daewoo discontinued the Sojin brand in 1991 after buying an interest in the famous, old, and storied Ibach Piano Co. in Germany and focused their attention outside of the US.

Like the other S. Korean makers of this period, the pianos were good quality for the price and competed will against more expensive Japanese and American lines.

This 5’ 10” DG2 conservatory grand is in good condition, suitable for a budget-minded beginner or casual player wanting a larger grand piano for its touch and more powerful tone.  Also, a nice upgrade from a vertical or digital action.
