For nearly thirty years, Joseph Pramberger worked for Steinway & Sons and moved up the ranks; first as an apprentice, then a design and project engineer, and finally as VP of Manufacturing. He left Steinway in 1987 to start his own business which led to consulting work with other major piano builders in Europe, Japan, S. Korea, and the U.S.
He partnered with Young Chang in 1995, improving the scale designs and creating an entirely new lineup of pianos.
This 6′ 10″ JP-208 was built in South Korea by Young Chang, before the name was purchased by Samick. This is a semi-concert grand piano with a wide, expressive dynamic range intended for performance. Maintained in good condition, it is well-suited for a serious player with a limited budget wanting the expression that only comes with a large performance-level instrument.
